Plane Crazy safe or not?

To me, it looks like the flight jackets are The Cockpit products. I called The Cockpit concerning another web site selling their stuff. they give a discount to internet companies to sell The Cockpit flight jackets etc. That is why Plane crazy prices are cheaper than The Cockpit online prices. If these are made by The Cockpit, then I would say it is a good deal for a generic flight jacket. their G-1s look good, as do their B-15s for an everyday beater jacket.

I'm interested in getting a current issue A2 later in the fall so I appreciate all the input. Thank You

Check USWings.com. Good sale, and they provide military contract jackets. Sales now too. Good deals on good jackets. I have three of their jackets, but they tend to run I'd say one size small, so plan up.

If I were to get an A2 and I'm looking for the more modern ones. I would have to get the "official" one from cockpit, because deep down if I were to get one from US Wings I might not feel so good about it. Just a weird thing about me

Um, USWings IS a supplier to the Military! They make jackets in the US and otherwise. All are clearly marked. Your concern, with what little I know, is invalid.

When I go searching for companies that have websites and offer products for sale I look to see if they have an actual address listed on their site. Any place that has no post office snail mail address is suspect to me. If you do find an address you can Google it and often there will be several websites that can have info about the company. It may contain comments about them either good or bad but it tends to give you an idea as to whether or not the company exists or is some type of total sham.

Not sure what to tell you. Address is readily available, they have an A+ BBB rating, the owner participates in many online forums, they supply the US military, they've been around forever, they work with Roz Schott to make many of their US models, many follk's here have used them for years, etc etc. I could care less if you don't bother with them, but your reasons thus far are pretty bizarre for not. The owner has answered every email I've ever sent inquiring about various questions. They're not Aero/Lost Worlds etc as far as being top of the line, but there is nothing wrong with the company. And if you tell me you found some pissed off customers on google then I give. Every single company selling anything has someone pissed off at them. Far and away, I never ever have personally, or through friends heard of anything that wasn't resolved, if an issue arose. I'm waiting in my 4th jacket from them in as many weeks. And I'll buy more there too.

That's great. I wasn't saying anything about them, I was just giving some guidelines to the original poster that was asking about them as to things I look for when when I find a company online I know nothing about.

Gotcha. Seeing the reply on my iPad, I assumed your reply was to me, but I see that you meant him (quotes help avoid this, btw)
Sorry for the misunderstanding.

In many threads people responding to the initial question usually don't use the quotes until much further into a conversation. I was number 9 on the First page of responses. Since I only view or post using a regular PC I have no idea what the appearance is on other devices. Sorry you got the wrong impression.

NP. Using my iPad in the minimalist view. The other ones work, but are too slow and busy. This is the price I pay ;)

I asked about Plane Crazy's A-2's on this site along time ago but I never really got any feedback.
I love the looks and the color and the price of Plane Crazy's A-2's and I'd order an A-2 from him in a minute but he won't send me any pictures of the interior of the jacket or the sides and the back. I like to see if it has a one piece back, no extra seams under the arms and the lining is a light or medium brown. I know the cuffs and waistband are cotton which is a plus for me because I wouldn't have to worry about moths.

Here in the EU, it's a legal requirement for online businesses to give a 'real world' address. I don't know whether there is an equivalent obligation in US law, though.
