Here's a tailored suit I am going to buy (not in that colour though). I asked for a thick fabric and they suggested me the following for $1200 including delivery & a suit to test my size: Golden fox collection from Fox brothers (370/400gm), a black with chalk stripes pure lambswool. Is lambswool different? Otherwise they also suggested JJ Mimmis (flannel collection) but I like that black with the chalk stripes from Fox bro.The fabric looks good on picture however I was wondering if one of you, ever tried Fox brothers fabrics?
If not well I will ask them to send me a pieces

I have suits made up with fabric from both Fox and JJ Minnis, though not in the cloths you are considering. Both are excellent merchants so you're really not going to run into anything terrible but I would highly reccomend you have them send swatches as choosing from a photo is folly.

Thanks. They offered me to send some samples. What do you think of the price though? I bought tailored suits before but it is my first time online. In stores I often paid more than the double than what they offer me today and that's why I thought the fabric might be of a cheaper quality.

Where do they produce? For an online store that just sends his stuff to Asia it is rather pricey. If it was an actual store with fittings the price would be good.

A question about the suit: Does it really have covered waistcoat buttons? It seems to be rather long to with the 4 buttons...

Yes 1200 bucks is pricey but well I bought online for much less before and it was quite a catastrophe: Suit not fitting, onerous alterations, crap fabric. Got it all. This time I went for higher price because they offer more guarantees: Unlimited free fittings and hey also offer me a suit they make first just to check if the sizes I gave them are right and before they start making the one I ordered. On the other hand, i am not sure it is made in Asia. It is an australian business. They apparently do not work online only. The waist coat has covered buttons. I like this. I received the piece of fabric and looks great.

I agree with Tomasso. Just my opinion, but that long, loose, boxy, 4-button jacket is going to look like it doesn't fit, even when it does.

When I invest in bespoke, I choose a classic cut that will show-off the excellent fit the tailor has worked to achieve. That's just me; to each his own.
