I have a desk that belong to my great aunt it was built around 1900. She was a school teacher and it was her issued desk that was in her first classroom around 1920 give or take a year. the next year she was given a new desk ad she took the old one home. It was left to me after her death in 1986.

Hmm, well I have some ties that date back to the 40's, a couple dozen 7 and 12 inch records from the 50's. That's probably as far back as my stuff goes.

1860 couch for me. Someone I know has the record for something old - she has a violin dating back to 1674, I can't beat that

No, it's Von Sch-something. She does have a "Stradivarius" as well, except that the label inside is printed....a very poor copy. Sounds great though, but definitely not a real Strad. It was a "bring back" from just after WW2 that she found in a yard sale for a couple of bucks. Apparently it's rife

To my knowledge, the oldest object in my hoard of inherited items is a history book published, and gifted, in 1857. A little letter inside the front cover leads me to believe it was a gift to my grandmother's grandparents.
Next after that would be a whole whack of papers (deeds and titles, etc.) from the 1860s that concern the family farm.
Those used to seem really old to me, til I finally saw inside the special collections room on campus, where there is a 15th century copy of Dante's Divine Comedy, and a 14th century Psalter....

The oldest items I have would be these:
Athenian tetradrachm after 449 B.C
Persian Siglos, Xerxes-Ataxerxes period 485-424 B.C.
I'm afraid I can't help but show off my Roman solidus:
Ms Rue, I second the Venus attribution, she seems to be holding an apple which is another important iconographical marker of Venus.

The oldest objects I own are a few fragments of what I was told are Sauropod fossils from the late Jurassic period.

Besides the fossils I own, this is the oldest artefact in my collection: prehistoric stylus, flint stone, Homo Neanderthalensis, about 50 000 BC.

The oldest thing I own is a bit of Archean Granulite from NW Scotland which I found when I was mapping the area as a student, dated to around 2.7 - 3Ga (billion years).
Not exactly in the spirit of the original question, but I did chip it off the outcrop with a hammer & chisel, so kind of man made...!
