I made this for our Holiday Lunch at work. I made a muslin of the blouse which fit fine but the actual blouse cuts under the arms. I used a tracing wheel for both the muslin and final blouse so I know they are exactly the same.

Beautiful outfit, deadpandiva, and if it doesn't fit perfectly that's certainly not obvious to me! I really love the neckline on it, and the Christmassy colours. Great work.

lol Thanks, kamikat! Cute but frivolous! Was a spectacular way to use up silly trims though. And maybe I'll actually wear sometime.
I made this up for a holiday party last weekend. It's a lovely sheer wool. The pattern is probably a late 30's Butterick (7879). The buckle I borrowed from my Civil War collection.
Beautiful. Did you buy the fabric online? I have the hardest time picking out the right fabric. Yours is perfect.
I got this from Needle & Thread in Gettysburg, not much of a website but a big selection in store. I do most of my vintage fabric shopping at re-enactor fabric sutlers (like Wm Booth Draper and Burnley & Trowbridge). Their fabrics are so much nicer than what I can usually find!

I really do not like wrapping presents. I am just plan bad at it. My solution was to use contractors paper and sew some fabric around the edge.
I LOVE it!! I have 2 large gifts to wrap and I was thinking muslin bags!!
