Well I have not received anything as of yet ( which is making me nervous) but this is what I am doing.

Aw, I hadn't even thought about it yet, but I need to plan an outfit for Val-Day. We're going to the steakhouse we went to right after we were married, so it is a pretty special time for us.

I guess I have a project for this weekend - picking out my outfit!

It's far from vintage, but screams 'valentine!' and I'll be sure to wear it ;) It is one of my faves in my wardrobe :)

much as I love and wear my red coloured clothing- dresses and separates pieces in my wardrobe, looks like this year its a couple of PINK dresses that are getting the lead spot for Valentine's Day 2012.

Worn Friday night 2/10/2012 to the Stanford Viennese Ball, the tickets for us were an early VD present (my gift request) from my dancing sweetie Tom. This beaded and sequined gown was from Nordstrom. Bought in 2003, its a tried and true favourite of mine and gets worn often

For Valentine's evening with my sweetheart; the agenda is first a quiet dinner at his house, and than out to a series social ballroom dance class we've been taking together:

lipstick pink linen gored skirt paired with a print velvet pink with beige halter neckline top.

a complete change of mind!!! I realized yesterday morning that my bf Tom, other than seeing my vintage fur coats worn with modern dresses and gowns- had never seen me in my vintage garb. His house was built in 1941, so I decided to go all out in my vintage and vintage-inspired garb and be his Vintage Valentine from head to toe! His immediate reaction as he opened the front door to me was a very loud and enthusiastic, "WOW! Let me get my camera."

This picture taken by my teenage daughter. The skirt is a tad long for 40s, really more 30s- but no matter. You can't see the V-I silk blouse under the 40s rayon trapunto jacket, with vintage flowers attached but its an exact colour match to the bright pink flowers in the 1941 straw hat.

Sorry for not more of a smile or even looking at the camera, but dd wasn't much interested in taking a picture for me, so I was distracted...
