My Weimaraner and what USED to be my Stetson Center Dent Panama Fedora.... I still love her, though!

I love seeing everyone's four-legged family members! This pic reminds me of an art display I saw at the county fair last year. It was called, "Things My Dog Ate In Her First Year," and it was sculptural with glued pieces of a chewed driver's license, gnawed-on books, a remnant of a shoe, a hat, sunglasses and various household items. It stood about 4-feet tall and nearly everyone who looked at it had a knowing chuckle.

Looks like my house, Michael, with the exception that my dogs are bigger AND there are 4 cats hanging out with them. My wife has never met an animal she wouldn't rescue. There are 3 or 4 outsiders that we feed and water, but only rarely will they let us touch them.

I AM A CAT MOMMY AGAIN! :)

I got my little guy yesterday, he's 6 years old and his former owners left him when they moved away :( I can't believe someone would actually do this. He was living in the basement of someone I don't know for the past two weeks, when my friend told me yesterday I immediately said I'd take him.

Unfortunately I can't post a picture right now... he's still hiding... sigh. I know I need to give him his space, and he's sooo shy... I just hope he'll eat something soon :( I didn't hear him chew since last night when I managed to to crawl under the couch with him and feed him a bit of dry food by hand..

Cody appears to be an Aussie, we have one and if she is any indication,, they are supremely intelligent animals. Simply a magnificent pet and friend.

During my recovery from my hysterectomy surgery, these two rascals kept me company. Now that I'm back to work (boo!), I miss them like crazy. Missing Slick (the gray one) is a bit like missing a mosquito bite, though. At first it feels good to scratch it, but then it just hurts after awhile - he is SO ornery. I can't keep him off my kitchen counters, he wakes me up in the morning by climbing all over my bedroom furniture and knocking stuff over, and he loves to torment the other cat CONSTANTLY.

Oh well. I love 'em anyway.

This is Slick.

In the several pics I have of him, he seems to have this pose quite a bit. I wonder if I should worry...

Kathryn acting "unladylike" (as my daughter puts it).

And for a slightly "vintage" touch...my daughter used one of the apps on my phone to draw this. I thought it was hilarious.

Great cats Melissa! I finally managed to get a couple of shots of my beast showing off his truly prodigious tail:

Given his tendency to wag that monster around, it gets him into trouble on a regular basis!

@Tom: Hey, cute fellow!

@Katie: Good luck with your new housemate! Dry food? Who'd come out from under the couch for that? I agree with Michaelshane. :p

Poor guy has a sensitive stomach, I tried feeding him wet food after he became more comfy in his new home and he threw up all over :( I switched him to grain-free food then, and now he is very lively and happy and awesome.. except for one thing that's not that awesome: he absolutely LOVES to scratch my kitchen chairs :eusa_doh: (they're padded with some sort of satin-y material; we got them from my husband's grandmother) Not too happy about that, but Bubbles.. as the name might suggest.. is not scared of water. And spraying kitties with water in such instances is the only method I know of..

Here's a picture, by the way:
