I honestly don't know much about Wekony, I think some other members have hats by them. Could be just a local maker, not a national brand.

Not sure what I have...this is one of a batch of hats I won on ebay. It is marked as a Stetson 3X "Open Trail". 2 3/4" bound brim and embroidered "last Drop" liner. I have turned up nothing in the lounge about Stetson open trails, only those made by Dobbs. It does not have a wind trolley, size tag or manufacturers label. It does have a number stamped on the backside of the sweat and there is a translucent vapor barrier between the sweat and the felt. Maybe its the western cousin to the open road or the dressed down version? Curious if any one has information...thanks, Hoss

"There ain't nuthin' like an Open Road. Or Open Trail, or Dodge City, or Lone Star, or . . ."

Colors other than silverbelly and tan seem to be rare, huh? If I take Art Fawcett up on his discount to Loungers offer, I'm ordering a neo-OR in dark brown!

Overheard in the Miller Stockman store, January 1949:

"Ah'm in town for the Stock Show, son. Lemme see a 'Deming' in a size seven an' a half."

"Yes, sir. Our Miller 'Deming' or the Stetson 'Deming'?"

"Stetson, boy. Ah'm a Stetson man, first, last, and always. Hm. Now that's a right nice hat. You got a deal!"

Very interesting find, Josh... from the American Hebrew and Jewish Messenger, 1941

"...Today, Knox lightweights made by the Decarole Process are accepted as surpassing the finest any country has ever produced. Only by this exclusive process can lines of style be hand-worked into a felt so light, ... "

Referring to Borsalino?...

Resistol "Dalworth" Open Road

Here's my newly acquired Resistol "Dalworth" Open Road clone. Silver Belly 3X beaver, near mint, original price tag $25.00. Quickly dry-bashed it into a rough diamond, snapped the brim down, then dampened overnight into a smoother teardrop pinch.

Resistol Monarch

Well, here's an obscure resistol...the MONARCH. Nice condition and a charcoal gray color. I wear this hat a lot, so much so that sweat has soaked through and darkened the crown ribbon.
