My college roommate had a t-shirt for Big Jug Beer, it came in 2 liter plastic soda bottles. REALLY. Never found any of it though. I'm a little scared to look it up at work.

I buy Pabst here, but it costs me almost $10 for a 12-pack. Used to be able to find Hamms, Schlitz, and Pearl cheap (as in $5 for a 12-pack), but nobody around here sells them anymore. PBR & Lone Star are staples at my house. Good hot weather beers.

Last night for me - margarita on the rocks, no salt.

This past Tuesday evening found me enjoying the late evening sunlight and warm summer weather down near the boathouse. Gazing across the lake and enjoying a Founders IPA truly a treat. I did not notice that I never completed my sanding and re-painting of the lakeside cedar lounge chairs. Today posting the pic, I am feeling guilty for not having completed my chores. Perhaps, I will pour a beverage and wait until the guilty feeling passes.

Minnesota summer is fleeting and I aim to enjoy it when it is here.

Was at a party for Black Caviar's running at Royal Ascot. To say there was rather a lot of booze floating around would be a gross understatement.

got a dram of an irish whisky called Redbreast last evening late, while laying in the bathtub, with the pouring evening rain outside the bathroom window, listening to one of Antonio Vivaldis operas,called Lafida ninfa, while two candles, placed inside orange glasses created at scenery almost like if there was a fireplace present in the room.
An incense stick, smoked out a nice flavor of oriental mystery, while sitting in the dark, totally and utterly relaxed after a busy day.

Rode Loudmouth(MC) all day yesterday. It was hot! Evening venison steaks around the pool with ice cold bottled Dos Eqious and a few shots of Jose. Longnecks were good..but prefer Dos on tap in frosted mugs...I think.
200 bike Memorial MC run today. Predicted 91 degrees(hotter). Hog roast..Corona and Jameson tonight under the stars.
Stay thirsty my friends....

Too many to count. The Sharp Edge Beer Emporium (in Pittsburgh) hosted a "European Beerfest" with about 120 different beers brewed in Europe (not contract-brewed in the U.S.). Probably at least half Belgians, it was nice to be able to tase a number of variations of Belgian Triples, Belgian Doubles, etc.
And for some of the Belgian fruit beers, a small taste was enough!
Probably the most surprising beer (to me) was Baltika #8 (Wheat beer). If I hadn't read the bottle, I would have sworn it was made in Bavaria and not the Baltic.
For anyone in/near the Pittsburgh area - they do this every year (this was number 16). An event to plan for next year/
