I have a real appreciation for quality workmanship. I also have an appreciation for versatile clothing. You know, the kind of clothing that you'd take with you if you were out in the wild surviving the zombie apocalypse. But it would still be suitable for a five star dinner with your mother-in-law. Enter RM Williams...

Here are my RM Williams:
Brown: Gardener - workboot w/ rubber sole
Black: Yearling - dress boot w/ leather sole and cuban heel

I have a pair of Craftsman in chestnut color. They are really great boots and I'm considering ordering a pair of brown suede Comfort Craftsman in the future.

Upload the pics into something like photobucket. You get an image code for each picture. You post the image code in your message and the picture shows instead.

No authorisation required.

Absolutely, hence their price point. But, as I say, for those that can't afford $400 for a pair the Blundies make a good alternative. The 59s though, 500s are definitely 'mucking around' clobber.

I love RMs. Been wearing them for years. They are, not surprisingly, very popular in this part of the world (Australia/New Zealand). Beautifully made, damn comfortable, go with virtually anything and can be resoled time and time again.

Captain, but sadly remember Blunnies are no longer made in Oz, they make them over in SE Asia now. Whether that's a good thing or a bad thing for the boots I don't know as I haven't had a pair since the early 90s but it's sad that an Aussie icon has gone offshore. Heard good things about Redbacks for a workboot and they are Australian made.

I'm a fan of the paddock boots. And their longer, riding boots look very nice, but i've no experience with them.

But to be quite honest, there's no way they can pass for footwear that can be worn with a suit (5 star dinner with mother-in-law). I see one pair of godawful loafers in their current catalogue. So let's not get too carried away - they're very good at what they do, which is workboots (though the heels are often badly set, in my experience, possibly a result of the aforementioned production outsourcing). Good, sturdy, and stylish work/casual boots. Even their own catalogue stays away from suggesting any other role for their footwear.
