I haven't taken a bath in an actual bathtub since I was a kid. I prefer showers.

If the tub is full of soapy water, how do you rinse it all off? Or are you supposed to? ::scratches head::

It can be good either way. Either treat a tub soak the way the Japanese do, and wash yourself thoroughly before getting in the tub; or,
soak in the tub to get your skin really ready for exfoliation, and then shower and wash.

My favourite thing about a nice bath is not usually so much about the bath itself, but what I do AFTER the bath. I always like to have a long, luxurious soak before I get dressed up, if i am going out. Or if not, will have a nice big glass of red wine poured for when i get out, climb into freshly made bed, and settle in with a book or movie...and i like lots of bubbles in the tub. I really love the Soap & Glory,"Calm one, Calm All".

I've made it a tradition of taking a hot bath on Saturday nights after a long day of thrifting and grocery shopping. I've been using bath salts but found my box of Calgon today so I might make it a bubble bath next weekend. I like to spray on Jean Nate afterwards before I get dressed. By then, it's usually time to snuggle on the couch to watch a movie with my husband.
