Update:
When I sent out the beauty box the lady working at the post office asked me if I had anything fragile, liquid, or personal items [in the box]. I said "yes". The lady postal worker then asked me "do any of the items contain alcohol"? I said "its only cosmetics". So, the lady asks do I know if any of the items contain alcohol? I said "I don't think so". The lady postal worker then went on to explain "they [the post office ] were not allowed to send out any items that contain alcohol". I did not say anything. I just nodded my head a little so the lady postal worker would know I was paying attention.

However, this is what I was thinking while the lady postal worker was explaining why they [the post office] was not allowed to send out items that contain alcohol. That can't be true. I sent out cosmetic items before and was never asked do they contain alcohol. Must be some new rule that I do not know about.

In the end everything worked out and the beauty box is on its way to the next person.

I've never been asked that either, but I have seen the sign with forbidden items, and honestly I thought they mean the kind you drink, not the little bit that can be found in cosmetics. Maybe she was just mistaken? Weird. Sorry, that must've been a bit akward.
p.s. glad you like the cream. I did too except the scent was so not for me. =)

I always just reply no. I mean, technically nail polish and hairspray is flammable, but I think they are talking about things like gasoline. Or at least I have assumed that.

It's a good thing the box isn't going international. I sent a parcel to England last week & discovered a new, oh so sensible post office policy - in addition to the quadruplicate customs form, now all information is also entered into the computer, destination address and detailed listing of parcel contents and value of each item. That's bound to improve efficiency and customer relations....

I agree, let us hope it does not come to this.

That is what made me happy when I saw the lotion. That is my kind of scent. Plus, I've used the lotion before and knew right off it was going to be excellent.

I still have quite a bit more goodies to add but alast the box was about to bust at the seams.

Hopefully someone is kind enough to do us a huge favor and take more then ten items.

Just wanted to pop in and say I haven't seen the box yet but I'm keeping my eyes peeled. MissNathalie sent it last Sat. I think? Maybe today or tomorrow?

The box came in on Saturday! I think this round will be a bust for me based on my first glance through. I will make a few choices and toss in what I can in the next couple of days. I have to run to the post office today and get a new box; I think the other one has about had it, especially since it has a gigantic cut in the side like someone took a knife to it. :/

Oh no, I hate to hear that! I hope you can at least find a few things you can use.

Oh, dear! The box was fine when I sent it out. I taped every nook and crany plus the fragile stamp, too. Strange that it took a week for the box to arrive. Since your state is not that far away from mine. I checked the tracking number and it said the box was in your city on October 9th, weird.

Eh, it doesn't surprise me one bit. I find our main and branch post offices are not very trusthworthy. I can tell you story after horror story of us not receiving mail, mail not arriving at it's destination when we send items and things being returned to us opened and rifled through. I take all my stuff to the post office where I work since I can count on it getting to where it needs to go!

Also I PMed Kamikat for her addy so hopefully I'll have it by tomorrow so I can send the box!

Well, I hope you at least found a few things you can use and enjoy.

I think we've *all* had to deal with those USPS issues. I've got all sorts of horror stories, too.

I guess I'm last on the list after Kami. Do you ladies think we should gauge interest on a round 4? Or wait until after the holidays?
