Up for sale is a simply GORGEOUS German/Austrian velour in proportions that are very appealing. It has a very nice crown and a wide brim which is not all that common for this type of hat. I wanted a hat like this for Oktoberfest and I was able to wear it this year. The problem is that its labeled 57cm which would equal a size 7 1/8. It sits on my ears. The reorder tag places the date of manufacture in 1954. The velour felt is simply astonishing. If this hat fit, I would never sell it. Its just too big for me. There are a couple very minor nibbles on the brim but they are very tough to see because of the velour finish. As you can see from the pictures, the hat is gorgeous and appears pretty much flawless, I just wanted to mention the few very tiny nibbles for full disclosure. I have changed the feather and currently it has a mental pin holding horsehair (In the first pic). This would be an incredible addition to anybody's collection.

I'm asking $65 SHIPPED to anywhere in the CONUS

The brim measures 2 1/2 and the open crown measures 5 1/2 inches tall. Even if the next owner puts a regular ribbon on this hat verses using the cords, it would make a beautiful fedora.

Josh, Can you please tell me the inside measurements front to back and side to side? It's a real beauty!

+1, if Steve hasn't already grabbed it. Or is it on the bay yet?

Thanks Gentlemen. This hat is really a beautiful hat in person and like I said, I wouldn't be getting rid of it if it fit, but it sits on my ears when I wear it.

Front to back it measures 7 7/8 inches and side to side measures 6 3/8 from reed to reed.

Its not on ebay yet because I got caught up in something this afternoon. :)
