Unearthed photo - 1942

Hey all,

My father just found this photo in the family scrapbook and had it restored. This is a photo of my grandfather and grandmother around 1942. My grandfather is dressed in his Army uniform. He was a tank instructor for the Demonstrational Regiment - in other words, he trained soldiers to drive tanks.

Anyway, I think it's a great photo for women's clothing reference.

MD, that's a swell photo! Good looking folks for sure. Not only is your Grandmother wearing a killer coat, but her hair is swell looking. Some I know today can get the clothes right, but the makeup and hair is what really makes the whole thing look right.

Thanks for sharing!

Root.

PS. I can see the family resemblance as well!

We moved on October 1 and just yesterday while unpacking, I came across a bunch of photos of my parents in the 40s, including many with my father wearing a fedora. I don't have a scanner, but plan on having them copied, and when available, I'll definitely post them here.
