I don't think it looks too bad! Are you concerned that the shoulders are too wide? Depending on the era of the jacket, some jackets maintained a wide silhouette and others were narrow, especially in the shoulders. If it isn't baggy and bunching up, then that sounds like a good thing. A sure way would be to measure the actual jacket and measure your shoulders and see how close they come.

Depends on the era you are goin for. It has some bold look (late 40s/early 50s) vibes and while I personallly think earlier styles were more elegant this look has many fans.

Thank you for your opinions, gents! I thought this jacket was from an era when wide shoulders were in vogue, and it's just not my cup of tea. Wanted to make sure it was idiosyncratic and not something common to all dinner jackets. I'll keep my eyes open for a more fitted, narrower jacket. Thanks again!
