I found a 1940s wool double breasted jacket today in near mint condition. The color is navy blue heavy wool. I search all over the AMVETS thrift shop where I found the jacket to search for the pants. After 30 mins of searching with no luc I gave up. Does anyone know where I can get a pair of custom pants made to match the jacket. I live in San Diego, but it I'm willing to travel to Los Angeles area.

If you want a contrasting color, you can look a lot of places. If you're trying to get an exact match to the fabric of the jacket, to make a suit, I would recommend not even trying. It will be virtually, heck, literally, impossible to find an exact match, and there's nothing that looks worse than a jacket and trousers where the ower has tried to make a match but failed. Bad idea. Find some good gray slacks, or white flannels, and put gold buttons on the jacket.
