Nice +4s

However, I'm not sure of age. As theres lots of fishing and shooting here in the Borders, and the pubs / hotels are full of posh people in Plus Fours not unsimilar to yours.[Paddy'll probably agree when he gets back and catches up.]

I must see 30 different pairs over the week. Can't all be vintage. From what I gleened I don't think the styles have changed from way back. Still cheap even if modern but not rare mate.

Keep or sell? Good luck either way. But I wouldn't hold onto them just cos they arn't seen in your local on a regular basis. regards Mike

If attire like that initially offered in this thread is common and cheap in your district, my friend, buy them up and offer them here; you'll retire handsomely.

a better shot of the label

Tried to get a better shot today in daylight. It's quite conservative in style, and wouldn't look out of place on anything from the mid '30's to up to the '50's, maybe even 60's...

I also got a close up of the buttons, which appear to be plastic? When did plastic start being commonly used?

I agree it's definately a pre war style with the wide lapels and high fishtail back trousers, but taking on board Mikepara's comments maybe it is post war or even '50's? Still vintage, just maybe not as vintage as it looks?

Like I said lovely suit .

I was only trying to stress the fact that they are not rare. Other than seeing them all the time I know nothing of how to date them. However if you contact the maker they'll probably still have the pattern book and exact date. MP
