Sure Ed, a smaller fabric pattern is better. Unfortunately, I could not choose how big the pattern is! haha

Just a minor addendum.
Generally true, but some of the City Sport do in fact have a quite vintage appearance. No leather sweatbands, but the "420" model in particular has an 10-11" diameter and vintage proportions, whether in tweed or linen. Also I've been very impressed with the consistency of fit, construction, matching of fabric patterns (where this matters).

A very odd fish indeed. War Department manufacture in 1953, ended up in the BBC wardrobe. I got it in Hastings yesterday. Marked a size UK 6 3/4 but fits like a UK large 6 7/8 to 7.
