For sale is an original antique war-time US Army Air Force Contract B3 Bomber Jacket by Rough Wear Clothing Co. of Middletown PA, in size 42, Spec No.94-3061 and AC Order No.42-5111. It represents a model of Year 1942 with the user being Pilot "David W Howland". This jacket is one with some defects and needs repair unless you are planning for collection or demonstration purpose that all the combat signs and wear retained.
The leather front including the sheepskin and horsehide parts are with scratches throughout. At the back of the jacket there are certain cracks that needs fixing. The zipper was broken and replacement is necessary if you plan to buy for using it. There is a damage at the left shoulder and obviously the previous old owner had an attempt to repair it by patching a piece of horsehide with similar Seal color. One of the collar buckles and strap has been removed for unknown reason. We acquired this jacket as-is from a senior citizen from US. Certain parts, mainly the edges of the shearling, show natural worn signs. Owing to the lack of time, we decide to sell this jacket as-is too, and leave the repair work with the buyer. This item should be a special one for those who like projects.
