Thanks, Alan, Hatto & Manfred. The lightweight Stratoliner is a good hat to wear at this time of year.

I like the Adam you have today, Hatto. Alan, the Clear Nutria is really cool!

Sam, looks like a good day for the Fed IV where you are. The rain has been on and off all day here too (on at the moment) but I didn't get my hat wet :)

I'm also a fan of Lefty's milan. To my eye, it looks perfect. What all straw hats aspire to be. Every time I see a picture of it, I get a little closer to calling Optimo.

Mike, worse part is I'll be working essentially for free. I have to get some research experience to better my chances of being admitted into graduate school, and most of these opportunities come in the form of unpaid internships lol.

Thanks, Manfred. The office is very cool and contemporary. It was remodeled with productivity in mind. It's very conducive to people's needs.

My favorite shots of the hat are the first and third pics.

Out of curiosity I weighed this hat on a shipping scale today and it weighs 5.0 oz. I'm not sure how this compares with other hats but for a size 7 5/8-7 3/4 hat with a 2 3/4" brim it's one of the lightest felts I've ever felt. Perfect for today with a high of 80 degrees.
