Gents,

I just got a call from a local, telling me that he has some NOS Beaver Brand "Classic" Hats sitting in a warehouse here in town. Apparently in Tan, Brown and Black. Just thought I would let it be known on here and gauge the interest of others before I make the guy an offer on the lot. Unfortunately he knows that the Beaver Brand is now defunct so we will see what he needs per hat.

ANY interest? PM or reply to this thread with your requirements.

Nice but...what do they look like? Beaver did make some rather smart looking hats, and some that may not have much appeal to anyone.....?

Excellent question... I shall head over there soon and keep ya posted!!! Hopefully with some pics of the hats in question. I understand that these are not vintage, but are the final "current" issue that Beaver was doing when they went out of business.

Pics soon,

I too am interested in 7-5/8 but wide ribbon (dress hat).
Having said that, I wouldn't mind picking up a nice Open Road for casual wear.
I can make 7-3/4 work as well with a bit of padding.

It should be illegal to pad a 7-3/4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Those of us cursed with the NEED for this size do not have such an option, and almost never find vintages to fit. You will find MANY more 7-5/8 hats than we can find 7-3/4.

Put me in for the big ones (7-3/4). Long oval, too.

Interested in the Kangaroo 7 5/8...

Ditto the Kangaroo 7-5/8 for me, if gtdean48 doesn't take it.
I've already got too many black hats, being the only other 7-5/8 shown.
Pity there aren't any 7-3/4's for me to pick up & pad to fit my intermediate sized noggin.

Hmm... not really interested in battling with the removal of a factory crease, so I'll pass. Though that kangaroo looks nice!

I understand totally... I snapped up a black and a sand... he didn't have any kangaroo in my size... dammit. But with both I will probably change out the ribbon for 3" as I am not thrilled with the skinny ribbons. We all have our cross to bear I guess!! LOL!
