Get a hold of Sam at everythingaustrtalian if any of these styles or colours catch your fancy prior to their departure date. I imagine the sooner the better.

I wish they would bring back the Mexican...but this new list still caters to my tastes, so I'm good.

I don't see the Pro 30x. I wonder if that one sells well in Australia.

I guess I'll have to make room in my budget for another Silver Spur and BOTP. In my opinion these are two of Akubra's best hats. Why the downsize? This really sucks! Akubra is the only hat company I feel I can put any money into and get a good hat in return. Custom hats cost too much if you ask me. I'm really upset about this!

Oh, sorry to see the Kokoda go, but happily I got one of them already. And my wife already has an Ascot, so we are safe in that regard.

I hope they are just making room for new models.

Hi Gents, I recently acquired a Moonstone Squatter from David Morgan and just noticed they are now offering the Bushman in Moonstone as well as the Nullarbor Brown color.

Two new Akurbras arrived within the past week: a carbon gray Fedora and moonstone Fed IV Deluxe. I may make the pinch a bit tighter on the Fed, but at this time I like it as is.

The moonstone color is so nice I think I may purchase the Campdraft in this color.

Now they offer it in Moonstone...figures after I buy one....Moonstone is a sweet color in the grey shades....

It is quickly becoming my favorite gray color. It's offered only in Heritage grade. For around $200 delivered to the US you get a fantastic OR style in a color you're not going to find anywhere else. And the hat can take a beating. Yes, it will be my next fedora - probably when the weather starts to cool again.

I'm sure this has been covered before, but how does Moonstone compare to Glen Grey, Caribou, and Granite? Is it a lighter version of Glen Grey (similar cool tone)?
I've been thinking about a moonstone Fed or CD for awhile now. I wish they made a CD in charcoal, too.

KyleK, I think your assessment is correct, a little lighter than Glen Grey but with the same cool tones. I've put my Glen Grey Camp Draft next to my Moonstone Squatter in a variety of light conditions and it seems a cool gray tone. However, I have not seen a photo that really captures the color. Most images seem a little too light in color and I was surprised when I pulled it out of the box.

Yep, it is. I have both Glen Grey & Moonstone Campdrafts plus a Moonstone Fed4.
I also have a Stetson Pinnacle in Caribou & a modern HatCo Stetson Stratoliner in Caribou.
The Moonstone is lighter than the Glen Grey & also has more earthier tones to it.
Seems more versatile than Caribou to me.

I had anticipated that my Moonstone Fed IV would have more of a blue tone, but I'm pleased that it is more of an earth-tone gray. I anticipate wearing my Moonstone Fed with anything - I see it as that versatile.
