Balmoral Boots

Although some would like those boots from barney's, I have always wondered why anyone makes a boot, shoe, jeans, etc, that already looks all beat up yet it is new? For the money, $625.00 or what ever that price was, I would think finding a nicer looking dress boot in that price range would make more sense. I see plenty of dress boots on eBay that are already "half trashed" for a mere fraction of that price. And actually if someone had a decent new looking dress boot, and if they paid only in the area of $200.00 to $300.00 and wanted them to have a beat up look, ship them to me, I will (for a modest fee) drag them behind my car, beat them with a framing hammer, toss them in my bath tub for a week, and they'd be ready to look trashed!

It's generally good quality though really excellent when you factor in the price.

I emailed Grenson a few years a go about balmoral's. Maybe they finally saw the gap in the market. £475, so not exactly cheap. Far from a perfect boot in my opinion but an interesting interpretation none the less.
