yesterday was a twofer. Over a friend of mine's house I had a D4 limited or special edition. It was definitely different from the regular D4. Mine was fine but you friend's cigar was plugged---bad draw. Better him than me. :p Mine was fine. :D Too bad I left my cordless drill with the 3/16 bit at home. lol lol
The second one was a H Uppman Corona Minor. That one was fine for both of us. :p
Special Edition with Black band? That's depressing

Germain Medium Flake in a Peterson meerschaum.

I have been considering a meerschaum for a while now, but have been hesitant, thinking it a bit cumbersome to use and care for. I very much enjoy smoking a pipe, but they are much more work (after all, a pipe gives a wise man time to think and a fool something to stick in his mouth), and I often default to a cigar in many situations because it's simply easier. I'm afraid a meerschaum would only magnify the time consuming, though ritualistic, nature of a pipe. Am I wrong in my assumption?

The meerschaum is actually easier to care for than a wooden briar. You just clean it out and go without worries of stuff getting into the grain of the pipe. It is nice and smooth inside.

But is it more delicate to handle. Most I've seen come in a special case, and I've heard guys say you shouldn't touch them barehanded. Don't know if that's true or not, but I gather they're rather fragile, no?
