What's something modern you won't miss when it becomes obsolete?

Men who still have the mindset of sixteen year olds and think everything is "gay" unless deemed otherwise by some supreme masculine source.

People who call other people "boss."

The term "man cave."

Titles being replaced with new words because the previous one was somehow sexist or offensive, despite the fact that it wasn't... at all.

People who think other people are lame because their intelligent.

Comedic movies that can't be funny without genitalia or swearing.

Women thinking men want them to look like models.

Men thinking women don't want them to look like models.

Houses seemingly built out of cardboard.

Suburbs.

Not being able to just go wherever and start a new life without a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo.

The "officialness" of everything.

Yeah, man cave does rub me the wrong way.
I prefer (as I've seen on here) Library or Study.
Those have been used for a long time, and there is no reason to change them.

The posession of a Library or a Study presupposes that one spends one's free time reading or studying something, rather than watching football on the Plasma screen.

Not really modern but they unfortunately play an increasingly bigger part in our lives today than in the past. Here in California where many public offices have term limits, the politicians merely go from one elected office to another instead of retiring. Until recently the city government of L.A. included two former Speakers of the Assembly. What was meant to be a civic duty was never intended to be a profession.

People who dress their pets in clothes.
Uh oh, my 3 piece suit wearing dog is going to get mighty upset. :D

Playpen....how about Romper Room?
A study doesn't mean you study, maybe it means you smoke cigars, drink wine (or your alcohol of choice besides beer), play pool, and discuss events of the day.

So they have a career in politics as elected officials. You have a problem with some people pursuing their chosen careers?

And along those same lines, people who treat pets as fashion accessories. A contemptible practice.
Keeps a thief from putting their hand in a woman's purse. ;)
I agree though, pets are for companionship and protection, not go to with your outfit.
My dogs don't go with a thing I wear, but I wouldn't come near them.
Especially if their "mama" is around.

My cat goes with everything I wear. I've given up on brushing off my clothes.

They do have a way of becoming part of the decor because I originally wanted to use the cedar chest to display pieces from my collection but El Principe Luis had other ideas. Now that's where the little troublemaker sleeps! :p
