They are $45 plus $5 shipping. I think the jeans are an excellent value for $81, but the belts are just a so so value, as there are plenty of comparable ones out there for similar money. That said, the leather really is excellent, and the edges are in fact burnished, though it doesn't look like it in the pictures on their website.

Thanks for the video link winterland. Looks like I'm going to have to dig out my belt-making tools from the garage. I quit making belts because all my customers wanted super time-consuming buckstitching, hand tooled designs and names, and custom dye jobs. If I had known I could sell them one day without all that, I would never have quit. Looks like they have the equipment to churn these belts out at a pretty fast clip. If anyone wants a smoother edge to their Gustin belt that will hold up longer against wear, Tandy sells an edge dressing and a little plastic tool that looks like a wheel off a small cart. Takes about 5 minutes per belt, and it puts a shiny, protective edge on your belt so it slides through loops smoothly. The liquid comes in different colors, as well as neutral and matte finish. Worth a look. Mattface - I guess I meant more "finished" than burnished, as in with an edge dressing. If they are, it doesn't show in the photos, as the edges would appear shinier or darker. Not a necessity, just what I'm used to having on my belts, makes them last a bit longer with hard wear. Frank

Belt is lovely, got mine too. But it's like 6" too short. I wear 36-38 jeans and ordered a 40. Hoping jeans aren't similarly small.

Hopefully you've measured well for the jeans. I wear a size 38 in the Gustins and the size 40 belt fits me on the fourth hole out of five leaving me one more in case of weight gain.

Yup.. Measured. I'm a 36. How does a 40 not fit? They have issues with items being too small. It's cool. Not much lost money wise so it was worth a shot. Just disappointed.

I agree that the sizing is a bit odd, but they fit nicely once you find what works for you. The sizes are also a bit variable depending on the weight of the denim fabric used for the jeans. For example:
I'm pretty much a size 34 waist. I have a pair of 14.5oz Japanese denim from Gustin in that size-snug, but fits well. I have the "light Italian" jeans, in slim-fit, in a size 33 waist. They fit too. Just got (today) a size 34 waist Rainbow nep, and they fit like the japanese denim ones-both are their classic cut. I bought a belt in size 36, and it's small. I thought I'd have more holes available, but it will fit with one extra. I compared it to other belts I have in size 36 (like Tanner Leather Goods, for example-very similar leather/style) and their sz 36 fits larger, and is almost too big.

I know that each company sizes differently, but with this business model, they'd be better off using something like Levi's sizing, which people can understand. Doesn't really matter if it fits the exacting size model they're using, as long as it fits the customer. That said, I'd probably have chosen a sz 34 Levi's size, and had jeans that fit larger....I think the Gustins are a better fit for me in the long-term....

From the middle of the buckle pin to the hole i use its 39.37" right now.
Im a little fatter then my good weight and cant wear my "The belt man belt" so have a black wrangler that is a little bigger but would love a natural one aswell.

Whoa, it got the thick veg tanned patch instead of the regular soft brown one. Is that the normal patch on the greyxgrey, or did you just get a one of a kind variation?

To clarify that last photo, i received the greyxgrey without a leather patch so I swung by the office to have one put on. It so happens that they had the veg tan leather patches in for the super heavys, so they put one on for me. A+ customer service these guys (and gal) rock!
(Yes a one of a kind variation)
