Considering a rib is 80% bone and 10% gristle, theres only about six to eight ounces of meat (good meat, mind you) on an entire slab. He may as well have just let you smell them.

Local restaurant with the family, does fairly good irish food. So got my usual bangers & mash, only issue was the slab of cabbage they put with it was way overcooked today, & I do not eat smash peas. Had a jack daniels sweet manhatten on the rocks to start then switched to water & drink of the day, a hot chocolate with baileys hazelnut, that was good.
Dinner was a lobster salad salad with ranch & couple bottles water, prepping for tommorrow.

I watched a friend of my wife's put away a slab of ribs one time.
Her friend was 5'2, 100 pounds. :eeek:
