As promised in my previous post, which was inexplicably moved to a different thread:

Inspired by our own work shirt we posted a few weeks ago, we made this.
Red Plaid 100% wool shirt: Black cat-eye buttons, leather patch on elbows, chain-stitch all over, denim chambray ascent inside collar, yoke, under pocket flaps, gussets etc.

I just picked up this great calico print workshirt from H&M. The only thing that could have made it better would have been a tab collar. It reminded me a lot of the Mister Freedom shirt for a fraction of the cost. It comes in regular fit too which means it will fit normal people.

Has anyone ordered from luxire? Seems like I have not seen much written about them here.
The red wool shirt looks great.
Price is nice for a 100% wool shirt. Leather elbows are a bonus.

While I did not order a woolen shirt but a classic blue gingham fabric - though you might argue that counts as 'work shirt' for me - I am very happy with the workmanship - especially at the price point.

The tricky part is getting your measurements right. As my girlfriend did, my first shirt fit perfectly.

I think wool work shirts look good with a curved collar too. It doesn't have to be as long as the "spearpoint collar" on the luxire dress shirts. But curved on the underside.

Just like the shirt Dinerman posted in the vintage workwear thread

PS: I am not saying it is the only authentic collar but just the best looking one imho.

I picked up a really cool pair of buckle back faded hickory stripe tapered work pants with metal suspender buttons from H&M today. Really nice details on them and the fit is very nice. Only downside is for some reason some idiot decided to put a snap style button on the top enclosure so you kinda have to always wear them with a belt or it will just pop open.

Here is a photo that shows those H&M work pants. They are really even cooler looking in person. H&M must have hired a designer recently who is really into workwear because they have been producing a few really nice work pieces lately.

Going to stop by H&M after my doctors appointment tomorrow afternoon. To check out the shirt. Hope they have my size.:)

The calico one? For the price you just cannot beat it. Im sure the Mister Freedom one is great and definitely worth the money, but at 10% of the cost you can have something that looks awfully similar. You should check out those hickory striped buckle back work pants too. As long as you dont mind a tapered leg they are really quite nice. I have been wearing mine for a few days now expecting them to stretch out like most H&M pants do but they have held their shape and the waist didnt stretch out at all either. I just have to find a way to replace the snap button with a real one so I can try them out with suspenders.
