I just got a whole bunch of magazines, a full year's volume - 1957 is the year. They are in a great condition and almost all of them still have sewing patterns in them. This kind of magazines have been getting ridiculously expensive over the last few years, but this really was a deal. Now, I'm one happy reader!




By now, I guess I must regard myself a collector of magazines. The storage is becoming a challenge - if anyone here is collecting magazines: how do you keep them safe, clean, and still accessible?

Now I can confirm that. Recently on eBay I found the exact jacket as seen on Christopher Eccleston. Here are a few pics. I also own a copy by Bad Wolf. The 2 are nearly identical stitch for stitch with the exception that the TV jacket (and Bad Wolf) have a silk sleeve lining replacing the original which had elastic near the w2rists to keep out cold weather.

Even more remarkable than finding this specimen is that there is no damage to it inside or out... except for some Kriegsmarine buttons that were quite loose. I have since replaced them with appropriate black buttons. The black leather outside is perfectly worn and even can appear brown in some light just like the one on Doctor Who. To top it all off... it is My Size!
