A couple days ago at a Barcelona flea market, hunting through some 1930s ties (I ended up buying 16 of them:D).

Oh to be at a Barcelona flea market - rather than at home doing the ironing for the last 5 hours!

Are the ties Spanish or imported brands?

Thank you, the wingtip collar and necktie combination is a classic combination that has been forgotten by many. I have two wingtip collars in my possession, and a round collar. I'll usually break out one of those collars at least once a week.

I've seen very few people sporting this look, and it's great to see other people wearing this in 2014.

Excellent ensembles by the way, cpdv.

I know! The rest were black ones, or too filthy even for me to purchase. Sadly none of those bolts of fabric were interesting - €10 to €35 a bolt.

just 16 ? you must be mellowing a bit. ;)

All Spanish! The only Spanish vintage I saw, other than morning, tuxedo or white tie coats. Lots of them, to be sure, but nowt else. Oh yes, except for a pile of bolero/matador suits from the 1940s and before, which were priced NOT to sell, with a very large sign informing us not to touch. They would all have fitted me, and I would love to own one.

Had the opportunity to wear the 1930's suit I just posted in the "Thread to Display your 1930's Suits" tonight to a jazz concert. So here's how it looks on me. :)

Continuing my style of mixing modern and vintage.
1920's Straw Boater
1940's Tie and tie bar
1960's Double Breasted ( looks a bit long due to my short legs)
1940's Sunglasses
Modern pants, shirt, and shoes.

Fantastic suit, the jacket looks great on the you; the pants, while awesome, look a bit long to my eye (too much break in the front and the length is causing folding / wrinkling up the back in the final picture). You would really kick the look up by shortening the pants to one good break, but again, awesome suit, and the jacket is fantastic.

Man, what a suit!

And I would second FF's recommendation on trouser length. :)

I know your not refering to me when you state "FF" but that full break is not working with those shoes a half would make the look perfect!

P.S. I must admit though the lapels on that jacket are awesome ,nice suit !

We are off to Toledo via Madrid and are hoping to visit the vintage flea market in Madrid 'El Rastro'...I love Spain and have had quite a few vintage bits from there but very little of it actually Spanish!
