Thank you Brettafett, so the BK has a collar stand, if that's the case I am less inclined to go for it. I have an A2 by Cirrus, great jacket but for a couple of points one of which is the collar stand. It to me makes the collar look over-sized clownish appearance!
Thanks again.

Sorry, I missed the house A2 part. I was thinking about the BK's contract A2. To my knowledge, the BK house A2 is slimmer than Aero Real Deal, which may or may not provide a better fitting, depends on what you prefer. On the other hand, I think the hide used by Aer Real Deal is better than BK's house A2 (no one knows how that MK31 horse hide looks like).

The Aero Bronco is definitely good for a slim person. I had a lovely one but I out on a few pounds and it was a little more snug than I wanted. All ended well though, it's gone to a good home! :eusa_clap
Looking good Fanch!

Thanks Foster. Most times when I get a perfect fit is when I go into a store and try something on. The A-2 that I bought from you was the exception. A 42 would have been too tight; your 44 was perfect! Sorry the Bronco was a size too small for you. :D

Totally subjective but if I was going for a House A2, between the two I'd probably opt for an Aero. The BK house uses Ideal zippers as opposed to repro talons, or at least they used to. That and incorrect knits....

Hi breron

I asked BK what the differences were between his Hse A2 and the contracts. He said the Hse zippers on the Hse A2 are modern with a vintage look as opposed to the contracts which are accurate repros. Also the Hse is Chrome tanned where as the contracts are veg and there for a more expensive and exclusive leather.

Hi Mark,

The below is an Aero no-name 1756 in Russet Goat. It is the slimmest Aero A-2, and therefore most suited to slimmer guys (as long as you get the right size, don't buy up or down but get your EXACT size - the one in the photo is tagged 40, one size too big for me in the chest and waist, and it shows).

Despite being slimmer than most other contracts (whatever brand), its still surprisingly comfortable - doesn't pinch under the arms (like many other slim A-2s) and the shoulders sit perfectly. The sleeve knits on this are the best I've had too - they are tight enough on the wrist but feel relaxed, whereas others I have owned are so tight they virtually cut the blood off to my hands, and leave an imprint on the skin!

Also, this is a collar stand model, however it certainly is NOT clown-like as you mentioned regarding another manufacturer. The collar stand looks smarter, less casual, then the ones without the stand, BUT ITS NOT OVERSIZED. That said, Aero could always not fit the collar stand if that's how you ordered it...

Thanks MightyEigth. I had not really considered another of Aero's A2's other than the Real Deal but its good to know there are other options that are suitable/comfortable to wear. Also, useful to hear of your experience with the collar stand. I am almost certain to go with Aero now and when i do so i will consult Holly as to which she thinks is the best A2 to go for. Kind of hope its the Real Deal as a tad cheaper!

Thanks again

ps; Your jacket looks to my eye a pretty good fit. However, i guess its what you think that matters.

Thanks, but its 4" bigger than ideal in the chest.

The below pic is a Lost Worlds A-2, which despite being a baggier Dubow contract, look at the chest and back/shoulders - this is 20" pit to pit (on a 38 chest) whereas the Aero 40 in the above pic is 22" pit to pit, and you can see in comparison how much better the back looks on the LW just because of the right pit to pit. ;)
