For many, many years I have worn Maxims De Paris, I swear it has an 'after' scent of champagne- at least to me!

I have two current favourites that I asked my sweetheart Tom to choose which he liked best between. De'lices de Cartier and J'adore L'or by Christian Dior. He chose the Christian Dior fragrance and got the eau de parfum for me of it for my birthday.

At the risk of getting lynched but for the sake of those of us who suffer ill effects from man-made scents, may I recommend the use of natural essential oils? This would go a long way to helping us who are sensitive to chemicals.

I agree I like natural essential oils, good for the skin, good for the sensitive nose. Also when using essentials oils you don't have to use so much a little goes a long way.

Mitsouko, old style Shalimar, L'heure bleu are all nice Guerlain ones. Chergui by Serge Lutens. Ligea by Carthusia, parfums di Capri. Fracas by Robert Piquet is pretty good. I also like Chanel no. 5 and 19.

My teenage daughter, who usually only wears Kelly Caleche (given to her by Dad), just got Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino which smells really great on her and is totally suitable for a young lady.

I vary perfumes from day to day, I have a ton of them. Some of my favorites currently at home are Poison (Dior), Light Blue (Dolce & Gabbana), 4711, and Je Reviens.

I love rose fragrance, I'll have to check out the ones everyone mentioned.

I was wearing Delices de Cartier quite a bit around the holidays. Nice scent!!

I could tell you since I smelled it, but it's been so long since I had occasion to go looking for any that I really have no idea what scents are called now.

I have to echo the love of Shalimar, but not on me! I try to get a different perfume every time I run out of a bottle to try new scents.

Samsara (Guerlain) : Very heavy to me, I use it in the winter and autumn only. It gets overpowering in the summer heat. I spritz a bit on my coat and the scent lasts for weeks - I like how much a little goes a long way.
Burberry Body (Burberry) A very nice perfume! It's sort of fruity and woodsy at the same time. Very entrancing.

My best friend wears Candy (Prada) and it's such a lovely scent. It's very sweet but not cloyingly so.

Despite restrictions by IFRA on oakmoss, et al, the most recent reformulation of Mitsouko EdP is supposed to be a fantastic peach, vetiver and oakmoss chypre.

For the historic perfume, you could try Early American Old Spice by Shulton, a spicy rose floriental.

Old Spice (for men) came along a couple of years later and is a completely different fragrance.

They are called fragances.

For perfect harmony all year round, never forget to buy her fragances at Christmas. My lady loves Clinique wrappings, Estee Lauder Cinnibar, and E/L White Linen.

My wife, who rotates between several favorites, just started wearing something called Ikat Jasmine by Aerin Lauder. Must say, smells great! Her usual summer favorite is Cristalle, which also smells great!

Spider Lily from the India Hicks Island Living Collection by Crabtree & Evelyn. (Though they recently changed the name to Caribbean Island Wild Flowers when they disassociated with India Hicks. Supposedly, the scent is the same but I haven't tried the newly-named one yet.)

I started wearing this about two years ago and get wonderful comments almost every time I put it on, from both men and women.
