Ben Davis "Gorilla Cut" work pants

Hello all! It's been a while since I've started a post here so excuse me if this has turned up before (I didn't see it when I searched but I may have missed something). I was wondering if anyone has tried the "Gorilla Cut" pants made by Ben Davis? They are described as having extra wide legs. I've seen pictures of them and that does seem to be true although all of the ones I saw were too long (worn thug style). A proper hem would fix that but the thing I'm most curious about is whether they have a normal rise or a low one. I'm looking for an inexpensive alternative to the pricey Bills Khakis that I normally wear. Thanks! Sefton.

I just ordered a pair in navy from ebay. They're original cut, not gorilla, and I will let you know how I like them. Some folks there are selling them for about 30 dollars, which seems reasonable.

I know they're popular in 'thug' or rapper subcultures, but I think they have been made to the same pattern since 1935. If you go to the Ben Davis website, you can even buy them with suspender buttons so they should have a decent rise. I'll let you know.
