Lucky fella, Thor. Looks awesome. You will have to post some fit pics soon. Can't have John do ALL the work! ;)

Here's a quick fit pick (I wear my A-2 over my Merchant Marine Officer's uniform along with a captain's "crusher cap"). Everyone at work asks me, "Where'd you park your B-17?" LOL

is the waiting list still 12-15 months for their jackets?

Jon11, I'm not sure but I think the wait time is about 18 months now. I was lucky enough to randomly check the sale page and the GW-made Aero size 48 was available; I confirmed jacket measurements through afew e-mails with Vickie and bought the jacket immediately (receiving it 2 days later). When my wife saw yet another steerhide A-2 magically appear in my crowded closet, she said something about me suffering from "mad cow disease". Hahaha :)

Thanks all for the nice comments. I have an ELC .50 cal and a LW russet A-2 and now this GW/Aero jacket and the GW is getting the most wear by far. It's my daily go-to jacket and it already feels like an old friend.
Again, my thanks to John and Vickie at GW.

Thanks so much for the kind comments. That jacket that Thor has was actually made by David Howell of Diamond Sportswear. He does some jackets for me, and this was one of the earlier ones. More will be forthcoming on his work, which is superb.

Thor, could you post some photos of the back of the jacket when you wear it? The front looks great, but the back seems a bit wide when John wear it. Is this due to the original pattern or the cut of the jacket or any other reasons?

Here's the back of jacket. I'm a 46/48 (Long) depending on which manufacturer's jacket I'm wearing.

It's also the jacket I'm wearing in my avatar (along with a cool Acme Thunderer ditch whistle, compliments of a fellow Lounge member).

Thor you handsome swine that is a belter! It looks like it's very comfortable yet with no excess leather. Why doesn't he ever put up 40Ls on the sale pages!?!?!!!

Ha! Thanks Schitzo! Just a heads up buddy, I did see a 44 long (kudu Roadster) on the Alexander Leathers sale page. Long/tall sizes are always a rare find. So glad this GW/DD creation was spot on for me :)
