Look at what I scored at the thrift store for $10 the other day!
I'm not to good at dating, but I think that is a 1930's or 40's (at most) tweed overcoat. It's got the old Harris Tweed label, and one of the 30's union labels. Very cool. Also very very big on me. Is it worth trying to get it fitted to my twig of a body or should I just resell it?

have you tried wearing it over a three piece suit? Maybe it will be ok.
However if it's too big I wouldn't bother trying to alter it. I would be surprised if it looks good. Sell it and find one that fits.

Christopher Scroggins - When you say "very, very big" it usually does not turn out well when altered.
Lufftwaffles - Very sharp looking coat. I used to have a USAF wool overcoat similar in style that I really liked, but I passed it on as it was just too tight in the shoulders. Plus, it was very open in the front which required me to always wear a scarf on colder days.
