Do you have a Hanna Hat? Share it here!

"Hanna Hats of Donegal Ltd are the world famous makers of indigenous Irish tweed hats and caps as well as other items of fine tweed, linen and wax apparel. Growing out of a bespoke tailoring firm started in Donegal Town by the late David Hanna in 1924, Hanna Hats have more recently expanded into ladies bags, scarves and the famous Donegal patchwork quilt."

I have two of their herringbone 'Vintage Caps', one grey and the other brown. They are well made and beautiful hats, especially if you love Donegal tweed!

Nice one bowlerman!

Here is a picture of the grey one I mentioned, sitting along side the brown one shown in my original post.

I also like that the front crown is snap secured (as a flat cap should be), so if it's really cold out you can just unsnap the brim and bring it further down on your head. It's like two hats in one.

I have a couple, a grey tweed and a brown herringbone (same hat as pictured in an above post). Irish shops around here are usually well stocked with Hanna Hats. I like 'em a lot!

Great looking Hannah's! Blackthorn, you look good in that Hannah brother!! I've got one, bought it at an Irish shop. I've got my eye on one on their website, have any of you ordered from them online? How did that go? Please advise. Many thanks.

image.jpg . I have this one on order. It's not a hannahat, but it is a Donegal. When I first began looking, I was under the impression that Donegal was the brand. This one is made by a guy named Gerry Moran? (I think) of Hatman of Ireland. After watching the video, though, now I want to try a hannahat. :)

Thanks for the kind words, Preacher Man. That cap dates back to when the owner of the company answered emails, and I sent him my exact measurement so I got an exact fit. I tried again years later and the fit was way too small, despite having followed the guidelines on their web site. I'd be careful about buying on line any more.

Blackthorn it looks like you are wearing that Hanna in a pub in Ireland :)
I am indeed. :) That is O'Connor's in Doolin, on the west coast. What a great evening that was! Earlier in that day, I had bought that blackthorn stick. I buy a new one every time I go, just a tradition...hence my screen name. :)
