We lost little Ellie in December. It was surprisingly hard on the three of us. This weekend we picked up a new puppy. So we're not sleeping, but we're happy.

But I do have a cat & we fight for the "comfy" chair .
We compromise & he sits on my chest.
Except for the motorboat sound (purring) which kinda makes it
a little tough to hear the music, Tv or internet....

Darned interesting that you think that, too. I just sent that line to a friend in Nashville. He used to be a deputy sheriff here...but he moved to Nashville two years ago to pursue his dream of being a song writer. In spite of the odds, he's actually had some marginal success so far.

A word to the wise for dog folks -- please don't by taken in by people trying to sell you "natural organic" chew products that could be extremely dangerous. One of my theatre kids owns a sweet-natured, goofy pit bull who nearly died over the weekend because her idiot roommate gave him an "organic, natural" buffalo horn to chew on. It shredded his intestines, and he's needed over $2000 worth of surgery to repair the damage, and it still isn't entirely clear he's going to survive. For your dog's sake, please stay away from this kind of foolishness.
