So... if anyone remembers my sizing questions about the Craft Rites, after getting measured by Brian, I am a true size 10 with a fairly wide instep, somewhere around a 10E I think. That makes me think I'm a 10.5 maybe instead of the 9.5. Any advice?

You should be fine with a size 8 length wise and width wise. However, unlike any of the boots you quoted above, the Attractions have very flat toe.

chponglasia, let me ask you about the Converse, is the size 8 just right? how much room left in the toe? i wear 8.5 or 9 in converse, but i'm not strict with these since i can lace up, however, i am fine with 7.5 in Attraction, so it's hard to compare that way unless you tell me how much room is in your converse 8.
for 8.5 Converse myself, i would say i would not go any smaller. if this is the same case with you, you should try 7 in Attraction, you will be fine with 7.5 after the sole bend and ankle wrinkles, but 7 would be fine too.

Took a trip to see Brian today to get sized. Got to actually see the boots in person and wow am I impressed!!!
They are far more beautiful than I even thought. The leather is some of the best I have ever seen. Perhaps as beautiful as Shinki even
He was very nice and it feels great to actually know my boots will be made exactly to his specs. I even got to try on a pair of size 11 boots, which was extremely helpful because while I am a size 10, it did show that I need a larger boot shaft because of my wide instep.
Brian was also kind enough to chat with me a bit, but not for too long as he obviously is inundated with orders! Meeting him and seeing these boots in person made me more excited than ever to get mine.
I can post pics if required, but they aren't great.
I will 100% vouch for this. If you guys recall I posted my like-new 2268s a couple weeks ago before I took them to Brian. Stole away V-Day weekend to L.A. and my first stop was the Role Club shop, just a few blocks from my old stomping grounds! Of all the custom work I've had done - guns, shoes, clothes, watches, etc. - Brian was one of the most welcoming and receptive persons I've dealt with, no bull. He welcomed me in, showed me around the workroom and talked to me about how it all came together, the lasts he uses, etc., and showed me all the boots he was working on and his Role Club line, both complete and in-progress. Pictures don't do them justice, especially the Olive. I see those in pics and think, "Meh, I could do without them." Then I saw a pair in person that he had waxed...jaw-dropping!
Before I left he took my custom measurements for fitting - didn't even expect that. I bugged the hell out of him while I was there and in the proceeding days while trying to sort what I really wanted. He was a champ about it, and I am grateful for that. I'll be going back for all my work moving forward.
Anyway, he beat me to posting the pics, but here they are again contrasted with the previous life:
My girlfriend picked them up today and is bringing them to Phoenix tomorrow. I'll post pics with them on when I can. Thanks again, Brian!

^Those really don't look like the same boots at all! Very impressive. Brian isn't always the most responsive on forums I will admit, but he is extremely interactive and helpful in person. Definitely went out of his way to make sure everything I needed was taken care of.

Yep. He works his tail off so that's understandable. I couldn't be happier with the work and with the service. Blew away my expectations, and there's something to be said for that.

Finally got up close and personal with the New to me Wesco boots I bought off ebay. First impressions are that they make a quality product and the leather feels great. This type of boot isn't what you would call common in the UK although lots of cruiser riding bikers wear similar. There is no way I could use these to ride my bike. Way too stiff and clunky. Never mind I have boots for that. As a wearing about daily boot I will have to find out how that goes. At present I have them on and they are not what I would call comfortable so some breaking in is needed. The top of the shaft is quite snug, i can just get a finger in, but that ought to ease of as the height drops a little, That might take a while though as they are leather lined. The fit feels otherwise pretty good although my heel lifts when I lift my foot up. I put that down to the weight of the boot which is substantial. My only other issue at the moment is getting them off! The right boot comes off without a massive struggle but the left is something else entirely. Should I attempt to do so whilst drunk I think going to bed with at least one boot on is very likely. Either that or call the fire brigade!
These look good, Jim. Is that a round Boss toe, as opposed to the normal square Harness toe? And good that you got them leather lined, as that costs another $90 on custom builds, and is something I'd have liked on mine, except for the price.
I have a couple of pairs of Wesco boots and like them a lot. If you can combine buying them with a US trip you can get them for literally half UK price, which makes them a fantastic bargain. I have a custom Boss pair with square Harness toes I'm picking up in the summer.

They are a square toe. I think if I was ordering my own I would go for a round toe and a lighter sole. The guy I bought them from found the weight of the boots hard on his hips apparently. Worked out as a bit of a bargain for me at any rate. Whenever I get around to finally visiting the states I shall make a point of looking at their range.

If your new boots are anything close to the right size they should break-in nicely, but it does take a bit of time. I have recently received another pair of the Wesco boots, this time with a 16" shaft: I feel your pain as to removal, at present.
I can only wear the Wesco Boss (11" shaft) boots on the Harley Road King Classic. There is no way I can ride either my Harley XR1200X Sportster (coolest bike on the planet), or the BMW R1200GS, both of which have rear-set pegs. For these bikes a nice pair of Sidi Canyon boots is just the ticket. And, I feel so "European," wearing the Italian Sidi boots while riding the BMW. Feeling European can be a bit of a trick out in the middle of cow-pasture country in Oklahoma......

I have tried on those 16 inch boots but too high for me. I special ordered a pair of Wescos 12 years ago of 14 inch and pretty much have kept this height for all of them. They do break in and when they do they are great. Keep trying like any good thing it takes time.

80% of right handed people have left feet that are a smidge bigger than their right feet. I have the exact opposite problem: my right foot is a little bigger than my left so with new boots it takes a bit longer for the right boot to break in.
