Looks good, stratcat. I need a Panama, but every time I save up I find vintage neckties. Not the worst predicament, I suppose.

Thanks! It's actually an over welt with brim curl. In Germany they would call it a Mode Hut (Fashion Hat). I posted more details in the Borsalino Brotherhood and German - Austrian threads if you want to take a look.

Regrettably no body labels at all. Wide sweatband and elaborate gold logo with fully encircling lacing suggests first 1/3 of 20th Century and possible Austrian origin.
Address is now the Sunset Park Learning Center. No luck on searches.

Thanks guys! I had never heard much of "Royal Stetson DeLuxe" so I couldn't resist. Hard to tell much of a difference between this grade of felt and "Royal DeLuxe" but I love the hat!
