Has anybody made a block for exactly your head?

As my head is more square than all the standard oval hat shapes, I wonder what the easiest way to make a block after my head is?

I would use it for shaping and sometimes blocking a hat but maybe also make a block for storing the hat afterwards.

I am contemplating a plaster cast, an epoxy cast on a swim cap or making a cardboard template, to use for shaping a clay or wooden block.

Are you looking for a "band block?"

If you order a hat from Art Fawcett of Vintage Silhouettes, he sends you a conformer so that he gets your head shape perfectly to make your hat. Then you can have him make band blocks of your exact shape to store your hats on for a reasonable fee.

And, you get a hat.

Hmmm, I answered but the answer has disappeared??

What is a band block?

It'll be too expensive calling the US, shipping conformer back and forth and sending a hat to Denmark where I have to pay 25$ handling and 25% VAT of the price INCLUDING shipping.

Has anybody a photo of a conformer?

I have now gone halfways, no total mold but an adapted hat stretcher.
I bought a hat Jack, put a (rather crude) ring of heat shapable plastic around my head and used this for modifying the Hat Jack to my specific headshape. I only had to reshape the front, the back of my head is apparently standard shape :)
The two sides were the same shape before the mod.
I have calibrated the Hat Jack by measuring the distance between the two blocks with respect to the circumference.
