Oh my gosh...I forgot how much I loved the Fedora Lounge. I think it's been a year and a half since I've been here. New job and all that...

What am I doing this evening? Relaxing with the hubby, watching a movie, and maybe reading a book. Nothing too spectacular.

I look forward to catching up with everyone.

Good to see you around again -- hope you're still getting in some writing time.

Me, I'm up in the projection booth waiting for the previews to end so I can start the 5:30 movie. Once I'm sure it's running right, I'm going to sit here in the dark and work on my own writing job, or at least one of them. Multitasking, the wave of the future.

The Easter Bunny came by here in person this afternoon -- some gal was walking down Main Street with an enormous fat grey rabbit on a leash. He didn't leave us any eggs, and didn't look particularly pleased with the whole business.

I had rabbits as a kid (six at one time), and only one of them would have tolerated being on a leash. Tolerated, not walked. The rest likely would have gnawed me to death in my sleep.

My daughter was *very excited.* She was also *very excited* to see Santa. Supposedly 2 or near 2 is the window for being terrified of these "creatures." So we have officially missed the window for the picture of her crying and screaming next to Santa and/or the Easter Bunny. I thought every parent got one of these pictures. Makes me a bit sad, I kind of missed a right of passage.

I returned back to my college apartment after visiting family this weekend. When I got back from the grocery store the 'Easter bunny' was in my front yard. A rather chubby wild rabbit is apparently the Easter bunny. Tehehe.
I made a rather delicious dinner of zucchini patties and steamed brussel sprouts.
Now I'm watching Taxi Driver and munching on some Easter candy.

When my husband and I were just dating, we drove around in his dad's truck a lot. I found an old cassette tape (in the glove compartment) of the "Good Morning Vietnam" soundtrack. Turned out we BOTH thought it was the best soundtrack ever! We listened to that tape all summer! That was over ten years ago.

My birthday is coming up, and my husband gave me THAT cassette tape as a gift. I'm listening to it now (on an old walkman!), and I feel like I don't have a care in the world, again.

Just got off a ten hour workday filling in for our usual Sunday projectionist who is still recovering from having his wisdom teeth out. Nobody worked for me when I had a root canal, just sayin'.

Yesterday was pretty good, though -- I took the day off and went to see one of my theatre kids making her ballet debut at the age of 27. Despite being upstaged by five-year-olds in green tutus, she acquited herself quite nicely. Our own Pavlova.

I've only got two things left for tonite before bed. I'm gonna take a hot bath, and I'm gonna take these damn shoes off. Not necessarily in that order.

Picturing the shoes in the tub = funny. I can't function at all on a root canal -- have to pull the covers over my head and have a good cry. I admire your fortitude.

I'm turning in early tonight -- probably read a few pages of "The Paying Guests," probably the first modern novel set in the mid-20th century I've ever enjoyed (and even that's a stretch) and contemplating what I'll wear to the annual WWII reenactment tomorrow. No doubt I'll be the only lady for miles around dressed in 1940s fashion. Question: will I embarrass my "normal" friends? I certainly hope so.

"If your friends are the kind to get embarassed by anything you do, they ain't your friends." -- my grandmother.

Last nite I worked till 10:30, got home, and didn't manage to fall asleep until almost 2am due to a cat who resents my weird work hours. Today I'm in work now and will be here until 10:30pm, so I expect it'll be more of the same.

Note to all stations: working on a salary basis is for chumps. Stick to the punch clock.

Watched a movie with my daughter; read a book for awhile; then watched one of my television programs. No writing done tonight. I'm too knackered.

Just returned from seeing the new Avengers movie with my daughter and her two friends. Now, I think I shall read a book and relax with my kitties. Hopefully I can get some writing done this evening, as well.
