Visiting a former schoolfriend, now resident in Savannah GA, we were reminiscing schooldays, the 'old' country and all, over a very good meal in one of those run down areas that had become gentrified with the injection of speculative cash. The name of the restaurant escapes me now, but the lasting memory was of my, oh so British faux pas of not remembering that Americans like their beer seriously cold.
Invited by my schoolfriend's husband to have a beer with him, I dithered over the choices. Coors, Miller, (pre Miller/Coors merger) Budweiser and those, so called, popular beers were not to my taste but I didn't want to offend. The waitress, probably hearing my English accent, suggested a Heineken. "That would be fine," I told her, adding,"but please don't pre-chill my glass with ice cubes." "YOU LIKE WARM BEER?" came the reply, along with an over acted jaw drop.
At the same time, a kick in the ankle from my wife, told me that we were attracting attention. I smiled at the waitress, pointed to my gums and said, "sensitive gums." "Ah," she said smiling, as if all was forgiven. For the record, warm beer is disgusting, but you don't have to have it so cold that your lips stick to the side of the glass.

For most of those beers you listed, you have to drink them cold or they would not be palatable at all.

Tried 'Red Apple Ale'. Not near as good as Angry Orchard, IMO.
