At the risk of being a nuisance... I know you added more Blue Smoke hat(s) photos on Art's website to compare next to photos of the new Gray, but would it be possible to take one photograph with two hats (one of each color) within the shot? That would make comparing much easier for my aging eyes, and eliminate any variables possible between two photos.

Just got home from an incredible long work day. Knowing since ten this morning that my second VS hat had arrived. This one's a silverbelly lightweight felt with a 6" crown, 4 ligne ribbon and a 2 1/2" bound brim. I took some pictures, but they're not very sharp so pics will have to wait.
My first observation was, holy crap, this lightweight felt is incredibly...lightweight! There is a HUGE difference between the dressweight and lightweight felts. I'm glad I went with the lightweight felt.
I was worried that the 6" crown would look too high for the 4 ligne ribbon, but it rocks. This hat rocks! I wouldn't change a thing.

Looks really nice, thanks for the pics. Felt looks dreamy soft; of course it should, since it is new. Getting that soft look with lightweight felt is the plum.
The lightweight felt really is incredible. After literally wearing my dressweight oxblood every single day but one since it arrived, the lightweight felt almost feels fragile. It's shockingly light, thin, and soft. Never felt anything like it before. Makes me want another one! My son loves it too. It immediately became his favorite of my hats. And this hat goes with EVERYTHING.

So do I! It's 6" open crowned. With its diamond crease, it's about 4 1/4", measured from the inside and eyeballing it to the brim.

I completely agree. Despite having to see myself, I just love this hat's side profile. By the way, I absolutely HATE taking and posting pics of myself like that, but I hate headless hat shots even more!

I love seeing any pic of a nice hat
but I prefer seeing it on the head for context and perspective

Thank you. I should rephrase that. I definitely don't hate headless hat shots. I just prefer heads under them for perspective.
