There...I just zapped "Good Vibes” on the doily !

Good Luck !

Thanks! When I was dropping it off at the fair's open registration time, the registrar for the crocheted items told me, "I'm sorry, but you're not going to be allowed to take that home with you." Confused, I said "But I'm planning to give this to my daughter!" She said, "No, I think that one needs to go home with me. It is lovely!"

Hubby and Lily were standing behind me, and they got a good look at the work done by the master-craftswoman registering hers next to me. He's kinda biased, but he said that mine was FAR better than hers. Her patterns weren't distinct, were loosely displayed, and were just not as eye-catching as this one. The only thing she had going for her (besides having won multiple times in the past, thus designating her a "master", where I'm just in the "adult" category, which doesn't matter because it is a blind judging system so nobody knows who made what) was that hers were a larger size - mine is 8 1/2" across, and hers were at least 18" across. That also puts her in a different category just for the size of her work.

We'll see the outcome in a couple weeks. The fair starts on the 27th, and goes until the 7th of September. I can pick up my entry on the 8th.
