When you consider the cost of refurbing a vintage classic to make it like new and compare that to the prices of the modern day off the shelf fur felts, I think you're getting a far better quality hat at a lower price for the refurb. I'll take the refurb of an old classic over the new stuff any day.

Are other master hatters likely to be copying the 'pinnacle edge' style in the years to come? Or will it remain exclusive to this particular Bob gentleman?

Paid another fun visit to Bob's yesterday to pick up this semi-calado, a bit of a grail hat for me. Despite the 2" embossed sweatband (these sweats are fantastic) the finished hat weighs just 2.8 oz. The ribbon is navy
