Hi fellows. Just finished reading the foregoing. I'm truly sorry I've been unresponsive.

I've been spinning out of control for a while with trials, personal illness, and a close family member's illness and ultimately death.

Kingrat's comment is also fair criticism. I have always asked everyone to be patient, and you have been. I certainly didn't intend to try that patience as I have done.

At any rate, I'm re-taking control and getting back to your hats starting tonight.

Harv is at the top of my list, and his hats will go out by Friday. Then RClark and Blackthorn, I believe, followed by Joao & Danielle, etc.
Harv did you get your hats yet? This is Aug. 7th

People with good intentions make promises but people with good character keep them. I hope all of you get your hats back.

Daniele,

St. Anthony of Padua of course, the patron saint of lost or stolen articles.
i'd really love this thread to come to a conclusion and disappear.
I do believe his intercession found my wristwatch

Bravo Riccardo! Sant'Antonio da Padova is the saint for lost things.
By the way the 10th October 1991 his chim (relic) was stolen from the Basilica in Padua with a huge scandal.
The chim was founded after 71 days with the jubilation of the faithfuls of Sant'Antonio
End of OT

Well, I heard from him, and saw him last night, and I have to say, I couldn't be happier. I know it's been almost a year since I dropped my Akubra Fed IV off with him, and I've been pretty irritated on a number of occasions that he didn't get it done, and didn't reply to my texts. But, finally it has come together and now I'm really glad we began this remodel.

I have always been bothered by the dimensional brim on the Fed IV, but really didn't know who to send it to, to get it trimmed so it'd be a normal fedora. When JG offered to do it, I jumped at it. I also asked him to put a new ribbon on it and he let me pick one from all his stock. Here are the results:

This was EXACTLY what I wanted. He does very good work, a true craftsman.

As a peace offering to me, he also gave me this antique hat box which he had refurbished. He put new lining in it, and it has a false bottom full of cedar chips. I was stunned by this beauty:

Here it is in the sunlight:

and here's now the inside looks:

Glad to hear it, Blackthorn. I'm hoping this good man can continue to clear his name after a really terrible year.
