Old Navy Harper Pants - Close to 1950s Cigarette Pants?

I love Old Navy, regardless of how trendy much of their clothing is - it tends to be the right price point for me! They occasionally carry some vintage-feel items, and these Harper Pants seem to be close to 1950s style.

I've found an image from a Cigarette Pants pattern on Etsy, and they seem to match decently in my opinion.

What are your thoughts?

The waists seem lower in the ready made pictures. I can't tell if they are or if the models are wearing them super low. They probably are lower.

The description on the link is mid rise. The 1950s version is a high waist. I think a mid rise is 9 1/2" and a high waist is a minimum of 12". They are very reasonably priced and come in a variety of colors which is nice. You can easily pull off a vintage inspired look with them. I'm considering getting a pair for myself now - thank you.

Thanks ladies. That was my thought too, about the rise. I prefer high waisted, my body type just looks better with it, and low rise is a no go. Mid rise might be doable for me.

Scarlett, vintage inspired is my very thought! They are modern enough that my workplace can't complain about non-conformity, but vintage styled enough to make me happy.
