I just found this letter to my late father in law, and thought it was interesting. You can click on "get original uploaded photo" and read it. It still looks brand new. I really got a kick out of it. Letter Fedora

That was awesome. Was there anything else left as part of his AAF collection? I love reading stuff like this. Most of the stuff like this hardly survived.. like my father's military records. Long gone...

I am gonna go through his old stuff one day and will let you know. I do have a bunch of pics of the B 17's with crew standing around the plane, plus numerous pics of various B 17s with the nose art. Seems like there is on of the Memphis Belle in there too. I love this stuff. regards, Fedora

Made my day reading it!

Thanks Fedora, for just sharing that with us! I love reading things that have that personal association with people you know. Things like that are important to me. (and Happy New Year mate, hope it's a good one!).

I have pictures of some of my family during W.W. Two and I treasure them greatly. I also got some patches off a German officer that was given to me by my great uncle. He got the patches after he shot and killed the guy who was doing a real good job trying to shoot and kill him. I should have some letters that was sent home during the war too. God bless all who gave their lives over there and God bless all those who made it home.
