This is the repro. M38 field jacket put out by At the Front. Appears to be well-made and accurate to the originals (though I am no expert on these types of jackets). I bought this new earlier this year, washed it once to see about shrinkage (there was none) and hung it in the back of the closet. So this is essentially brand new. Currently offered for $125 new. Get it here cheaper. I can't seem to locate the size tag, but I am a size 38 chest and this fits properly.

"The Parson's Jacket was the first version of the new field jacket which replaced the wool service coat as the field uniform for soldiers in the US Army in 1940-41. The Parson's jacket itself went through several revisions and alterations before becoming the M1941. Our reproduction is the last version of the Parsons- it is made from the same wind resistant cotton poplin shell with wool flannel lining as the M1941. The only real differences are the pocket flaps, fewer adjustment buttons at the waist and lack of epaulets. (Early production Parsons had narrower collars and waist bands and were made from different fabrics.) These were issued and worn concurrently with the M1941 Jackets- they were not special issue for any particular branch of service, such as paratroopers. They were worn until the end of the War just like the other jackets."
