Last night was Korean pork, Jasmine rice, and bok choy.
Tonight is Thai turkey meatloaf, sticky rice (Lily's choice), and broccoli.
Tomorrow is potato soup, made with homemade ham stock (made from our Christmas ham). It is my favorite soup, so I'm pretty excited about it!

Hubby started his new job on Monday. He has to learn calculus to be able to do it. I felt like I should have bought him a bottle of Jack to cope.
(The trainer for the new hire class told everyone that learning this job is like learning to drink from a fire hydrant. Seems impossible, but you adapt. Yikes.)

I think it is Rechnung. (But don't quote me. I was a Spanish major!)
His job involves billing accounts for cloud computing. He'll need to use calculus to figure out what the customer uses and how much to charge. I really don't understand all of the particulars yet.

How so? Did I spell that properly? I have noticed a lot of variation as to how it's written. I imagine it exists in plentiful amounts there in Germany, as well, or is it something confined to the immigrant community? It is something I never had growing up, much less had even heard of, but I have noticed in the last couple of decades it has become a fairly staple food in the American diet. Heck, there's even a brand that's the 'official' hummus of the Superbowl.Thats interesting!!

I had two smaller slices of grey-bread with nut-nougatcream and one big slice with mixed sugarbeet-syrup. In a few minutes, there will be two german Pinova-apples follow.

Hummus is made of chickpeas (Kichererbsen), tahini paste, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic. It can come with other flavors added. I like it with roasted red pepper puree.
