What kind of machine could this be?

Hey guys,

I just bought a machine on an antique market and have to figure out how to use it now.
Has anybody seen a machine like this before?
I think it could probably be a hat lining machine?

Any Ideas how to use it?
The machine itself is a Singer 24-52 chainstitch machine.

Fascinated that there's been no answer. I'd love to know what we've got here.

The replies have been under Photos of Hatters tools thread. He double posted. Need confirmation on model number as the model number in the post is not for hat making. Hoping it is a 24-57 which is for hat liners.
